Washington state’s hazardous sites list.

Rainier Court was (and in places still is) a mix of dilapidated buildings, oil
drums, tires, old cars, fenced lots and overgrown weeds. It served as an informal

The U.S. EPA has ordered Oahu Sugar Company, LLC to further investigate and
address dioxin contamination at its former pesticide mixing plant on the Waipio
Peninsula near Waipahu, Oahu.

California’s Controversial New MOA
One element of the current brownfield reform in California is the new memorandum
of agreement (MOA) between Cal/EPA, the state and regional Water Quality Control
Boards (SWQCB and RWQCBs) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC)
that sets forth guidelines for allocating oversight responsibility for brownfield
cleanup..
