Irv Cohen passed away this August after a short battle with cancer. Irv was a longtime friend and colleague and was one of the original pioneers in the brownfield industry. He had developed a number of brownfield sites through his affiliation with GreenEagle LLC, Cherokee and other companies. With an MBA from New York University and stints at Lehman Brothers and E.F. Hutton & Co, Irv brought a solid background of business and real estate experience to the brownfield market.

Irv also served on the NBA New Jersey and New York executive teams and participated in numerous NBA events and workshops. What will be mostly missed are his infectious smile and willingness to brighten your day within his quick wit. If there are brownfields in heaven, Irv will find a way to get them redeveloped. BFN
